apt-get install mc :) Or where it is missing?
It should be there by default without having to get it manually, particularly if you don't happen to have a working internet connection.
I know it's a very good tool. But Elive it's kind off front-end user system and CD have only 700 Mb :)
Anyway no one system i ever seen have mc by default
It isn't a big tool and should included by default in all distros. I wouldn't mind other things missing, like VIM etc., as the built in editor of MC is all I need.
It used to be included by default in many distros, and it's still included in some like Knoppix, Mepis, PCOS etc.
sorry, don't include it by default, anybody that should want it can know how to install it, reason: CDrom size is limited. You can do it on live mode too
