DetailsInstalling Crossover Linux (both Pro and Games) from CodeWeavers causes either enlightenment or Xorg to hang or crash. When the install is finishing up Xorg/enlightenment freezes, mouse can be moved, but nothing happens - and I am unable to change to another desktop using CTRL + ALT + arrow key The same thing happens when trying to install applications or managing bottles. Though sometimes I get an error message that enlightenment has SEGV’ed with the options to Recover or Quit. I think it might be when Crossover tries to generate menu links for the application, but I am not entirely sure. I am sorry to say that this used to work under Ubuntu/enlightenment.
You can download a trial of Crossover Games here:
(This is important for gamers - hence the severity) |
this is not 'really' a problem of Elive, but yes, could be nice that will work correctly... but is very possible that is also a bug of their, why their software makes everything crash ? ha!... well, can anybody confirm that this problem still exist ? maybe updates on elive can't make the crash or more logic: their application has been updated with fixes
