Hum... during installation is not very nice to have it, the user should set his volume from the mixer, in teh applications→audio menus, is very simple and intuitive.

By other side, about the hotkeys, is very easy to setup hotkeys, but the user needs to know "how" to do it and there's nothing that explains this part. I'm thinking to rewrite entirely the documentation of Elive (Elive User Guide) in the Documents directory to something better, more interactive, etc... and then do something to "show it to the user", like, run it at the start of the live mode, and at the start of the first user creation.
