FS#160 - Again the Clock Problem under Elive Gem 1.0!
Hi !
after a new install of Elive Gem 1.0 on my Laptop, i had this Problem again. Elive does not show the time and Date correctly again.
I Updated the whole system but the Problem Still exist, then i tried to use tzconfig to solve it but even when i choose the correct time Zone it keeps showing the wrong time, another thing i did is to use the UTC timezone but then it shows me the correct time but a wrong Date.
BTW. I have only ELive on my System and there is no Windows on it
I use Aspire Laptop : Model 5550 from Acer.
Best Regards,
FreeEagle

Hey, well, I’m using an Acer Aspire L310 desktop, which is very small and uses much of the same hardware Acer packs into its laptops. Like you, I don’t have Windows running on my machine.
I’ve had the same problem with the time and date while running Ubuntu on it, which of course is also a Debian distro. I’ve found that it takes a little time for changes in time, date, time zone, etc. to take effect; the reason for this is unclear. I had been ready to give up on it when suddenly it worked.
I’ll try out Elive and let you know if I see the same thing happening.
Sincerely,
QuickFinder
