OK rebbi, i finally figured out how to fix this... with the added benefit of
the beautiful elive startup sound playing too, with the tests e17 :)

in the menu, go to configuration panel. Click on Applications.
Click on New Application. Type “elxstrt” for the Name and “sh .elxstrt” for Executable.
Then click on the Advanced button and Type “system” in categories. Then check “Run in terminal” and “Show in Menus” if it’s not already checked. Then click apply and Press Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to restart X. If you hear the Elive startup sound
you have done it right! :)

Ooops, I forgot to add... After making that “new application”. click on “Startup Applications” in the same config panel.
Scroll down to “system” and you should see “exlstrt”. Click the Add button and Apply. Done! NOW you restart X...
sorry for the confusion i may have caused here.

That’s normal, because you run the e17 from the tests repo’s, use it “at your own risk”, is not the only things that not works... you don’t have automounter/autolaunchers too

Its needed to wait that the new e17 is added on Elive by default
