FS#209 - eltrans is not working on a virtual machine

I’m using the 1.7.9 LiveCD version on a VirtualMachine (VirtualBox OSE), with all internet features working, but the Elive Translator just doesn’t work telling me the following error message:

“You need an internet connection in order to make translations”

The same happens if i type it under the terminal emulator. It also doesn’t work if i use it with the sudo command. I choosed on the boot screen the Brazilian Portuguese language, and i’m very excited to help Elive in the translating process.
I’m not using this version of Elive on my host computer because of an issue that i’ve already related in another bug report.
Anyway, i’m waiting for this feature to be ready and i’m going to put my efforts on the translation process.
