The device shows up in lspci, but I don’t have a lan interface.
Lenovo Z61m using NetXtreme BCM5752M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express. This is the only current Linux distribution that doesn’t recognize it, this has been a problem since the migration to the new network manager.
[root ~]# ifconfig eth0
eth0: error fetching interface information: Device not found, Yet when I plug in a Netgear 10/100M Ethernet controller threw pcmcia it loads the tulip driver and makes it eth0.
Also success with both the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Mini-PCI Express Adapter, and a Netgear WG511T threw pcmcia. Plug in the WG511T and almost instantly starts, but neither wireless devices will auto connect at boot to a configured WPA network, but the tulip adapter will to a wired dhcp network, but not before elive 1.9.15.

Both live and installed
Upgraded to Elive 1.9.18 fixed the detection of detecting my Lenovo Z61m using NetXtreme BCM5752M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express card using broadcom chip set.
With my Netgear tulip driver pcmcia was moved to eth1 and NetXtreme BCM5752M Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express card moved to eth0 automagiclly. It also runs at boot with auto connect selected. Would like to see someone mark this solved soon.
Can’t wait to use the Ath9k with my wifi card.
Netgear WG511T is running slow, might be some legacy issues as my G card is a little old.
Need to disconnect the eth0 before starting wireless or both run and pages load slow. things much faster now.
for the last comment, please try to update to the last version of net-connector (and do not use other network configurators at the same time)
