FS#26 - Xpad writes wrong coordinates to config when exiting e16 from different screen

When Xpad notes are open on screen 1 and E16 is exited from screen 2, negative coordinates are written to the xpad config file. On restart, notepads are not visible on either screen.

example X coord -255

E16 is no more supported in Elive

you have the effect of sliding windows enabled on e16 ? (when a new program is launched, example terminal, appears with a slide effect or directly on the desktop ?)

marko commented on 04.10.2006 04:49

Yes, sliding windows is enabled. I will test with sliding windows turned off and advise

marko commented on 04.10.2006 06:12

The problem is confirmed on virtual desktop with or without sliding windows.
There is no problem in multiple desktop regardless of which window you close xpad.
lets try to explain that more simply m = multiple desktop, v = virtual desktop, assume 2m * 2v desktop

open xpad 1m1v close 1m1v no problem
open xpad 1m1v close 1m2v problem
open xpad 1m1v close 2m1v no problem
open xpad 1m1v close 2m2v no problem

Mmmh, well, looks a problem of e16 and/or of xpad

Elive actually use a stable version of e16 (no CVS), look if you use the stable version with “apt-cache policy e16”, if not, install the stable and try with it, the stable is called e16_16.8.3_i386.deb, you can use aptitude for select a special version of a package, or try “reinstall-sure-package” command

News ? what happens on recent versions of Elive ?

marko commented on 04.04.2007 04:28

No problem on E17,

still a problem on E16 in 0.66 dev.

Admin

Well, I think to that bug needs to be reported to E16 and/or xpad

E16 is not directly supported anymore in Elive
