FS#305 - Small problem with net-connector
All the problems I have with net-connector since I have started using it, have been ironed out very very fast. I know only have one known minor issue in that I can select wlan0 from eth0 and both are running. I have to disconnect eth0 first then select wlan0 then things are good. The side affects of both running is that pages load very slowly, you think that your card is the problem. Once disconnecting from one then selecting the other things run great. Just thinking of the new users that will get there first experience with Elive 2.0, not myself as I don’t mind dealing with miner issues myself.

ThinkPad Z61m Intel Core Duo (Yonah) T2300e 1.66 GHz CPU Broadcom BCM5751M at “eth0” Netgear WG511T a/b/g at “ath0” Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Mini-PCI Express Adapter at “wlan0”.
Using Elive 1.9.18 hard drive installed and updated.
The application is called net-connector, not LinuxNIT (lol), LinuxNIT is the author of the very nice net-connector :) (fixed/updated in the ticket description)
maybe this bug is related with the #341 one
can you confirm us that you still having this problem on a recent version of Elive ?
Sorry, I dont understand very this report, also, looks like the net-connector of the version 1.9.32 (ore more) should manage this better, please, if you still having problems re-open this ticket and try to explain better what is the exact problem. What I understand here is that you want to use your wireless connection and so configure it, but Elive has already configured your wired connection (that is plugged and connected) and so since you don’t know that, you can’t think on disable the wired one... but I wonder why you want to use the wireless network when you have a wired available that is more fast and stable, and also why the wired cable is connected if you want to use wireless
