Hi!
My Notebook’s wifi does not work with Elive. It’s not even recognizing it’s wifi-device.
As far as I know it’s using an SIS163u wifi-device.

Is there a linux driver for this wifi card ? Or it only works with ndiswrapper ?

According to this site: http://ozarfreo.ende.cc/linux/amiloPa1538-linux.html there is no native Linux Driver for my Wifi Card and you have to use the driver for Windows with NdisWrapper. Unfortunately it does not seem to work with Ndiswrapper, because the Wifi Card isn’t even recognized by the system. Of course, the Wifi is turned on and it does work under Windows XP.

There is a Linux-Driver! But when trying ./Configure it’s reporting errormessages.

No, there’s no linux driver that i have see...
The first thing that you need to do on this fight is to email the technical support of your laptop and say that is long time that you are not going to buy anymore their products because there’s no drivers for linux and that due to this you are fucked up
We will see what we can do for elive... but aparently you are obliged to use the ndiswrapper mode, that is very unstable and can make your computer freezing in any moment
