package oss-compat solves the issue, recommend to add in the default install

Before to add this package, try this: remove this package and add the follow lines to /etc/modules, then reboot and see if works 

snd-pcm-oss
snd-mixer-oss
snd-seq-oss

I remember to have made some configurations/fixes in Elive about this a good time ago, please verify that the problem was totally solved and close the report

oss-compat package is very small, ok, added to elive by default :)
