FS#396 - Elive 1.x Gem+ (development version) needs better driver support in kernel
On the latest Elive testing ISO (1.9.24), the system fails to boot since it can’t detect the base system. Debian Lenny also does the same thing.
I asked on the Debian IRC and apparently there is no support for my cd drive in the 2.6.26 kernel. I’d like this added so I can boot elive. might as well just update to a newer kernel if you ask me (but that’s not my place).
Elive Gem works fine. If you want I can provide additional information.

do you know the name of the driver ? how’s that it can work on Gem since Gem uses a oldest kernel ?
Tomorrow I will upload a new development ISO with a kernel 2.6.30, can you try it ? :)
