FS#455 - Installer error using /boot partition
When installing elive 1.9.39 from the live cd creating a boot partition, the installer stops with an error stating that there is not enough free space on the hd.
i used a 60gb hd entirely dedicated to elive.
40 mb /boot (reiserfs)
3.5 gb / (reiserfs)
56.5 gb /home (xfs)
any thoughts?

This problem still exists ?
no, because i switched back to debian and compiled and installed e17 myself...
oh, well, but then we dont know if still exist or not :), i mean, if the problem exists in elive and so needs to be solved
We cant continue with this report then, but in any case i think that his bug was solved long time ago, a lot of fixes was made in teh installer
to be honest, if it takes 4 months for someone to reply to a bug report...
people are making an effort to try to help you improve the distro, but apparently it's not really appreciated.
i'll stick with debian.
It is not easy to manage a full distro a single person, we hope that in the future the things like this one will change (more collaboration)
i understand it's difficult if you're on your own.
but that's why people delegate.
