FS#491 - After upgrade to new version all programs are deleted
After upgrade to new version ( did burning new version, booting and upgrading/installing )
all programs I had installed has been deleted.
Don’t know if you think this is a bug, but for me would be very important, once I suited a system
with hours and hours spent for installing what needed and configuring, tricking to make programs
reacts as I would, have all this job vanished for a normal, upgrade

Its not a bug, is perfectly normal, you have reinstalled your system
By other side the installer has a special feature, if you select the "complete" install mode, it will ask about which packages you want to maintain installed, by doing this, they will be reinstalled at everytime you reinstall your system, very handy
