Hi,
I have yesterday finished installation of last beta version. Unfortunately I wasn’t front of my laptop when the installation process went to an end. I think that there’s probably on last step something like how to boot the system isn’t it? Now the system doesn’t boot and I can’t access bios... Have you some idea what to now? I’ m using Lenovo ThinkPad E530c.
Thanks.
BR,
Vlad.

Hello Vlad,
I have yesterday received anonymous data about errors in the installation process, by your name I think that they are yours, there have been 2 of them:
- errors in the elive media (cdrom/usb), I suggest you to record it again, seems like your media was damaged
- errors due to strange characters: seems like "adduser" doesn't accepts russian characters, I'm actually working on the installer to change it to other tools to accept better characters for user creation. So you have the option to wait (I would be happy if you confirm me that it works), or use the system in english (It will take me 1-2 days to finish it)
About the bios, I don't see any reason that Elive affected to your bios, since it doesn't changes it at all
Hello Vlad
I've done some reading about your bios problem. This isn't related to Elive but it's a problem with Lenovo ThinkPad E530c. Maybe for that problem you should contact the fora there. This because the BIOS starts before any OS is loaded so Elive isn't the problem here.
Hello Vlad,
The bug is fixed, I did some betatests with russian characters and everything seems to work good, you can try to install again (the installer will automatically update)
Note: the only issue that you may see is with ZSH (terminal) that shows something like an error, this is due to the strange characters but should not affect in anything to the terminal usability, i suggest to just ignore it (so ZSH in elive is amazing), or switch to bash, or to use an english-characters username
Please re-open the bug if you still having problems
I just did another install test, the hostname (computer name) needs to include english characters only or the graphical system wont launch, but in any case I have improved the installer to correct any case providing correct characters to use, if you run the installer it will be updated to the last version.
