FS#696 - Elive Will Not Boot after Passcode is Entered

I cannot boot into the system. I am having problems moving forth after entering my passcode. One thing that happens is that it goes into “cryptsetup:sda5_crypt set up successfully”. It then processes and will not further.

Another is that if I hit F6 on initial boot, it will go into the process menu. Messages I saw on the thread were:

“No arrays found in config file or automatically.

Failure:failed to assemble all arrays.

Volume group “elive_vg” not found

Unable to find LVM volume elive_vg/root_lv

Elive_boot: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY.

fsck died with exit status 4

File system check failed

root password for maintenance”

The build is on Linux 3.16.0-0.bpo.4-686-pae

Thanks for reporting the problem,

Do you have one or multiple hard disks?

Can you tell me which "strange characters" (which are not letters and numbers) have you used for your password?

I have only one hard drive and OS. My password is all numbers. BTW, I did I pay for it.

Admin

I have searched for debug information in the installer reports using your email but there's not any, please you run a new installation with the same steps, having enabled the reports, so I can see where the problem comes from

This doesn't work right now as I am unable to access any computer with which I can download and run an installation. Is there anything I can do within the current installation?

Admin

Very hard to know if you can do anything with the currect installation, so it looks like there's a problem with the partitions structure, which is very rare (never happened before), but I cannot know any more details about the problem unless I can check the installation report logs to see what happened / how they was created

Admin

try "sudo palimpsest" from live mode to know if the disk has errors

What is the actual status of this bug report ?
