FS#725 - HotSpot wifi
Unable to setup mode=AP in network config, there is no choose for hotspot in network applet, just ad-hoc and infrastructure.
Atheros driver is with master mode enabled, AP possible, but no luck.. Wired LAN with DHCP, wifi no sharing.

Do you know if this issue is related to the driver, to the version of network-manager, or due to a missing package?
this is just a guess:
- network manager is the same as in gnome, right? So probably not.. If you have no issue with AP mode in manager, than not. Can you try it?
- all possible packages I found to be needed I also found installed and those, probably not needed, I updated using APT. But nothing..
- maybe driver.. But this driver and chipset seems to be quite supported and OK..
??
It will probably be the same as used in gnome, BUT, the version used in this release is very old, so maybe this feature was not working correctly. Now, if you have this option in other system / gnome it should probably be the cause in this old version
I see the option "create a new network connection" on the wifi settings
To know if is the driver, you should try from a different wifi device, if you have any
Well, if even you don't have AP possiblity in network manager, than this migh be the reason..
Can you check it?
Use the wired RJ45 connection with IP from network server, try "create a new network connection", use wifi and if in network type won't be any AP or hotspot, we can target an issue to an old network manager..
