On the liveCD mode or the installed mode ?

Ok, live mode... That looks like a problem reading the CDrom, do you have tried to record the ISO from other cd-burner ? please burn it max. at 16x

I did another CDR (instead of the CDRW) and burned it with GnomeBaker with writing speed 4. The kernel panic occured again on my laptop (old tp600e with toshiba cdrom drive). The system started without any problem on my desktop pc. This problem occurs also with vector linux, but not with simplymepis 6.0.

Kernel panic... well, looks a big problem (not a simple driver/module required on the boot), try options of acpi/apm, or try to know WHY kernel panics this laptop (google), i can’t do very more things from here, maybe a future kernel can solve it (try the version of Elive for MacBooks with a 2.6.20 kernel, just to see if kernel panics, channel #elivemac on freenode)

After reinstalling Elive RL2 I I never got a kernel panic again. I installed also some different kernels (2.6.20-mackbook, 2.6.18 from debian and 2.6.15 from mepis and no kernel panic occured).
