Marvell Technology Yukon 88E8058, apple iMac 20” driver non-existent in gem. Development Livecd has the driver, but no installer.

Users are requesting a updated gem with newer and mac-compatible drivers.

This driver is reported in being in current kernels, have not tested it though.

In “games” section many included games are not listed for the Elive menu. Such games as elitare as well as others are not listed.

This occurs in latest development version and beyond

Sound card not found in VMWare, sound configuration tool states:

No supported PnP or PCI card found. Would you like to probe legacy ISA sound cards/chips?

In previous versions the sound worked.

This occurs in the latest release candidate.

Powernowd hangs at boot for approx 10 minutes while booting in VMWare.

Confirmed on Hardware as well, intel and amd of via, intel, and nvidia sli chipsets.

.6.6 Installer Issue - Floppy module hangs gparted weather floppy drive exists or not.

Many users are stuck with gparted trying to get drive information. They must close gparted and installer. Type su <enter>, rmmod floppy <enter> , then start installer again.

May not be elive-specific problem but does hang some people installing.

Gateway 7422gx broadcom wi-fi makes system freeze. This driver is only able to be used in 64bit linux distros. Running this firmware on 32bit will cause a kernel freeze.

Proprietary drivers are stupid, buy linux compatible hardware.
