There’s a kind of mess between these 2 interfaces (wifi and wired), i removed all the netconnector configurations and then started the daemon and configured only for my wired connection, that is a static ip with autoconnect=yes, after to reboot i have:

A different ip (a dhcp one) for my wired interface, if I run netconnector (gui), in the Wired part i have my static ip set/configured, and in the Status values says that i have a different one (this dhcp obtained one), if i run ifconfig i have the static ip set to the WIFI interface instead of the wired one. Again in the GUI, in the Wifi part, i have the “autoconnect” box set in ON (of course i have not set it, maybe the problem is from here?), and the status for the wifi says that I have the static ip.

Repeated lines to Standard out for close error: [Errorno 10] No child processes. It seems similar in nature to this bug at http://mail.python.org/pipermail/python-bugs-list/2007-July/039036.html. Additionally the program that seems to be causing it is netconnectord.

I noticed that net-connector on eeepc doesn’t autoconnect anymore or does it seldom.

When on the road and staying at hotels - it becomes necessary to connect to their unencrypted networks, but net-connector from the control panel refuses to connect to unencrypted networks.

1.9.10 elive with latest updates, can’t connect to a hex wep local wifi network, there is no option to choose hex key (only wep, wpa and none), the network is there, but the connection is not made due to password failure

wicd finds and connects to the same network without a problem

put a script for the after-suspend step that just call the daemon with a option to “refresh” or something like this

All the problems I have with net-connector since I have started using it, have been ironed out very very fast. I know only have one known minor issue in that I can select wlan0 from eth0 and both are running. I have to disconnect eth0 first then select wlan0 then things are good. The side affects of both running is that pages load very slowly, you think that your card is the problem. Once disconnecting from one then selecting the other things run great. Just thinking of the new users that will get there first experience with Elive 2.0, not myself as I don’t mind dealing with miner issues myself.

if the user select the “static” mode, the entry’s should be writed automatically with the actual ip variables (the ones done by dhcp or the actual used)

Keyboard layout problem.
Found on Elive 1.9.30 When Elive installed on russian (at least & seems the same when change system language from elpanel). The problem appear after loggin in.
It is in xorg.conf

	Option "XkbLayout" "ru,us(winkeys)"

Correct is

	Option "XkbLayout" "us,ru(winkeys)"

The options in the grub menu for the no sensors boot are wrong. It has duplicated the “nobluetooth” parameter from the No bluetooth option above, and doesn’t contain any options to disable sensors.

After upgrading the system the sleep feature is lost:
closing the lid the computer doesn’t go to sleep
selecting sleep from the menu has no effect.

on detection ati 3d rage pro (mach64) 8 mo has choice between radeon,fglrx and vesa : fglrx and radeon fails, vesa is very slow.i do dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg and choose “ati” : but only works in 60hz.... is there another solution?

In “games” section many included games are not listed for the Elive menu. Such games as elitare as well as others are not listed.

Can’t login to system because I set Russian language.
I can’t switch to US input language.

xorg.conf:

XkbLayout "us"

US language must be use always as mandatory language.
Any another language must be added as next language.

Cdparanoia has a known issue (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=391901) with SATA drives when ripping CD’s. Grip using it’s own internal cdparanoia code and also the cdparanoia binary freezes the entire system when ripping starts.

I think there’s a patch available but not sure if it’s implemented. Grip would also occasionally freeze teh system using cdda2wav ripper too although not every time.

Keyboard layout selection doesn’t work at grub menu

After doing Update, i tried to turn on Oxine , then i found after turn it off i get a crash with this message:

NOT A BUG - Request for feature

Hi !

I asked many times before to add the VPNC to Elive, but what is good to have the last VPNC, simply because it is much more better than the included version to Elive now.

I don’t know why I can’t get dual screen (monitors) setup in Elive one is an lcd the other is a regular monitor...I got them both working in Ubuntu...Video card is 512MB Nvidia GeForce 6800...With three outs 1.VGA monitor connector 2.TV/S- HDTV connector 3.DVI connector...The monitor connected to DVI is the one that doesn’t work...VGA works fine...Haven’t tried TV/s-HDTV yet...I’m using the new Nvidia driver also.

Can you please add this driver to Elive in the next version. I have this Sound card:
Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)

It works under Elive, but i am not able to control it well :

Simple Example:

When i insert the Jack of the Mic the speakers of the Laptop keep on, whatever i did , then are all the time active.

When i try to mute the sound from Sound Mixer then i can not get sound through the MIC ( Both the Mic and the Speakers are muted ).

The next version of Mandriva solved this Problem. As i installed the Cooker version on my Laptop, i was able to control the sound correctly. You can have a look to there next version and fix this under Elive.

When the keyboard layout is changed from the elive panel, it is not changed on ttys. The layout is changed in X but the keyboard is always qwerty on ttys.

Is it possible to add bidi support to e17 so right to left languages wont be displayed backwards. and also after changing font of the titlebar the title font of windows with default borders wont change.

i have NVIDIA fuzion fx5500 pci 256mb when elive tryes to login all i get is command prompt with user:,it doesnt get to real login screen,when i take out the card elive works fine with my intel internal

Elive 1.7.2 is unable to resume right after hibernating my PC.

# hibernate
Some modules failed to unload: nvidia

I have only one module from /etc/hibernate/blacklisted-modules - nvidia
version of nvidia driver is legacy-96xx

Resuming after “hibernate -f” finishes with black screen and num/caps locks’ leds, that doesn’t reacting on pressing nul/caps lock.
Usually, after spending some time with pressing ctrl-alt+del I’ve soft-reboot, but sometimes hard-reboot is the only chance to reboot.

/var/log/hibernate.log says, that it was unable to unload nvidia module and, that resuming was successfull
