Buenas noches, este bug es significativo desde e punto de vista de un usuario de nivel administrador pero a nivel de usuario no administrador es importante.
Empecemos, el administrador instala una impresora usb al pc portátil etc y la programa y la deja lista para que el usuario la use, aquí es cuando esta este pequeño fallo cuando el usuario sin conocimiento de la clave de root quiere imprimir algo enciende la impreso ya previamente instalada y sorpresa salta la autoconfiguracion de la impresora ya instalada pidiendo de nuevo la clave root que no sabe el usuario, el usuario puede imprimir lo que quiera pero se le quedara la dichosa ventana e incomoda de pedir la clave de root que el no posee.
La question:
Si ya tenemos una impresora instalada cuando esa dicha impresora la conectamos de nuevo porque salta la autoconfiguracion?

Buenas tardes, el siguiente error es:
Cuando en un pc de mesa o un portátil se le añade un usb wifi, el pc lo detecta y lo monta pero a la hora de usar el net-connecto se vuelve loco y hace exploración cada segundo con lo cual no te deja ni elegir una red ni poder para la exploraciones de redes, con lo cual lo hace inservible.
Las pruebas fueron realizadas con un usb-wifi Wisacom.
P.D. En los portátiles con wifi integrada no tenemos este problema y el funcionamiento es correcto

El kernel actual no soporta o no trae el modulo raw 1394

Una vez instalado todo los programas que son ejecutados en menu que necesitan root no se ejecutan piden clave pero se queda parado, en terminal funcionan perfectamente.

Version 1.8.6 al actualizar (upgrade) deja de aparecer automaticamente al reiniciar la red. Teniendola que habilitar en panel cada vez que reinicias.

En la versión 1.8.7 como en la antecesora la 1.8.6 aparte que se cambia de idioma solo el control del raton se hace complicado asin como la utilización de el escritorio, aparte de consumir el 100% de la cpu constantemente.

The driver loaded after the installation by the module cpufreq is wrong. In the Live version, it use the acpi-cpufreq driver, which is the good one for Intel Atom proc I guess. In the Installed version, the driver used is p4-clockmod so the cpu scaling frequency and power management is not done correctly.

The hibernation process seems to work perfectly. When I turn my EeePC 901 (which supports hibernation), it recovery until I heard the sound which told me “Elive system restored”, I can see and move the mouse cursor, but the screen still black and nothing append, even if I press Alt+Ctrl+Del or Alt+Ctrl+Backspace or power button or anything else. I have to hard reboot it. It does the same with wifi On and Off before hibernation but it works perfectly if ecomorph is not loaded.

I like using “Sticky mode” (i.e. traditional X sticky so it sticks on all desktops)because I keep one terminal window with a screen session on all desktops.

When setting “Sticky mode” for a window, window often spontaneously disappears or moves somewhere else. Temporary solution is to left-click on desktop and click “Lost Windows” and find it there. The window will then usually be found on desktop 0:1.

I am using dual-monitor configuration with both monitors as one desktop with elive-compiz. I do not have this problem on single-screen elive-compiz on a laptop, so this is probably some kind of issue with X and twinview/xinerama.

When I open software center I get a error warning say (something went wrong sorry). And also when theres updates the same software center says (Failed to install file: not supported). Not a programmer so hope someone can figure what is going on I noticed there is a newer version of gnome software center available but I don,t know how to install manually. Wish it could be in the software center repository somehow.

When using Exalt to setup wifi, if the user chooses WEP, the text for the channel selection partially appears, but there is no block to set the channel. Also will not permit user to apply and save settings. Suspect the two are related. I have enlarged the box to see if it uncovers the channel block, but it does not.

Request module to support Intel 2200 bg wireless support. Driver and firmware are available at http://ipw2200.sourceforge.net/

As I understand it, the driver and firmware are available as Debian modules as well.

When I tried to boot Elive in live mode in my Dell InspironMini 1012 netbook, Xorg couldn’t start. and give that eror.

after installing 1.7.2, i create user and login. All works fine, but after some time i can run on application, enligthenment return an error code without output, and can’t log back with my user account, if i try entrance will come back after trying to login. Only root work.
After some reboots i can login back with my user.

Boot from liveCD is impossible on laptop Dell E1505/6400 with SONY DVD RW DW-Q58A.

All any choice of boot menu fails with the following message :

Using skype, I discovered the webcam works but the built in microphones do not. The exact model number of this laptop is dv6768se.

If I drag the edge of a window to resize, the window will freeze for about 5-10 seconds. Happens on Live or Installed versions 1.9.27 and 1.9.29.

Three different installs give the same result.

I have a Pentium D with Nvidia 9500gt and a gig of RAM.

Solved this issue by typing this in cmd line, thanks to user Asides:

Many applications, such as aTunes, OpenOffice, and Audacious have different screen corruption issues. Audacious has problems scaling and the player window shows elements of last application used.

Openoffice sometimes displays documents off-center with no scrollbars to re-center.

aTunes song info window remains on desktop with off-center information.

Using Thunderbird on a Elive 0.5 on my laptop. The default language is French (Fr_fr), and default charset is utf8 for the system.
Some headers of emails don’t print correctly in the headers window of thunderbird, and changing the charset in the menu View→ Character Encoding doesn’t solve the pb... Maybe a pb of compilation of the pgm ?

I also had a pb with accents in xfe, I didn’t manage to solve (Those french and their accents !...)
