Hello, first of all this is such a great distro. I will keep donating~

I just have one problem that is i cannot use the korean keyboard. Even though i have set the input to the korean keyboard nothing happens.

I have tried to install ibus etc. but nothing seems to work. Please help me.

The Keyboard setting qwertz is still falling back to qwerty after a reboot or log-off.
It’s on: 1.9.5.0, 1.9.5.1 and 1.9.5.2
The bug is up to 1 or 2 packages I install from elive-repo,
Nvidia-xconfig and/or Nvidia-settings (I need them for my 2. Monitor)

Keyboard layout problem.
Found on Elive 1.9.30 When Elive installed on russian (at least & seems the same when change system language from elpanel). The problem appear after loggin in.
It is in xorg.conf

	Option "XkbLayout" "ru,us(winkeys)"

Correct is

	Option "XkbLayout" "us,ru(winkeys)"

When the keyboard layout is changed from the elive panel, it is not changed on ttys. The layout is changed in X but the keyboard is always qwerty on ttys.

Keyboard layout selection doesn’t work at grub menu

Try to reproduce:

- /etc/default/keyboard is set to “es” - configure E to use US instead
- when you restart e17 is set back to ES

Note: use a new elive install, which sets correctly all those things

If i use slovenian language keyboard all the keys dont work. There are only few keys working. Aproximatly 10 keys. If i use english language all keys are working but i dont have then support for special regional letters like (Š???Ž)

I noticed this problem in all elive version (stable and development)

Aparently the configuration for console-setup is not set

running .6.1 unstable as live...
after filling out info for wifi config (this version works at this point, see bug report 57) I then hit the ‘activate’ button
keyboard entry is locked immediately...
after ~one minute (and/or after clicking activation button for the second time, as wifi was not enabled) mouse clicks no longer work, although cursor can still move around the screen and to different desktops, and after another minute, movement of cursor is limited to current desktop... I have not witnessed cursor being immobilized, but imagine that would happen after another period of time...
(witnessed this in dreamlinux 4.2 which also has the 2.6.18 kernel)

Notebook Asus G1s, Dualcore Intel 7500 - 2,2GHz, 4GB Ram, Nvidia m8600GT, running on a second Monitor.
OS:
Elive 1.51 Dev - lang=de

The Bugs:

1. Keyboard - Live works fine in German with QWERTZ Keyboard. The installed System is in German but the Keyboard falls back to QWERTY. If I change it with Elpanel QWERTZ works only for the actual Session, after Log-Off or Reboot the Keyboard is falling back to QWERTY and didn’t save my settings. There is one Error Message while changing:

a) The System freeze while trying Themes and changing them for a few times. I have to break the session with ctrl alt f1/f2.
b) or if its not freezing there comes an Error Message like: enlightment is crashing, recover or exit.

I burned the ISO of 1.9.18 and running the live cd i get to the languages and i can’t click on the ok, it just sits there with the white cursor blinking on the ok button and if i wait long enough it will go into the Verbose mode and then to the resolutions and i can’t move up or down or click on anything my mouse and keyboard don’t work, i have had no problems with mouse and keyboard on the other versions. My mouse is a Logitech LX3 and my keyboard is a Microsoft Digital Media Keyboard

The applicaton I was telling you, the icon does not show in the system tray, as Dropbox or the others apps...

The system freeze when configure in the menu panel the key binding settings.

I am not able to compile things such as vmware server or the cisco vpn client against the running kernel despite having kernel headers and/or source installed and linked.

If you use VM-ware then you need to have the kernel-headers on your system for compiling the needed modules.

It would be nice to have a package “kernel-headers” to point to the current headers for the current kernel, that you can install in Synaptic - instead of having to hunt down the source for the current kernel version, then use make-kpkg kernel_headers to create a kernel-headers package.

If this already exists - then please point me to it.

Live CD doesn’t stops loading due to kernel panic: Thinkpad 600E with toshiba cdrom (24x) drive

message on screen:

(on my desktop PC live mode works fine) Revolution 2 works fine on my thinkpad (has there been a change in method of compression??)

During booting the system hangs and I have to unmount the battery to turn the thinkpad off. It works perfectly on my pc.

postinstall of kernel-image should call grub-aggregator from nurse

seem vbox is out of date with this really new kernel so the vboxdrv modules segf somewhere in the kernel, I suggest using a kernel that is supported by vbox, this problem is only with vbox.

Aparently if you install Elive with / as JFS and rebooting from the e17 menus, the JFS root partition is mounted as RO in the next boot

Please do details about how to reproduce this bug, in a updated version of elive (< 1.9.30)

The firmware aka microcode for the intel 3945 wireless fails to load (update) at boot. This causes the wireless card to be detected but not work properly. It is unusable due to that nature.

When I plug in my IPod it causes two instances of Thunar to open. This is a rather trivial, but annoying bug, as I immediately have to close one instance of Thunar and click cancel when it asks me to if I wish to unmount the device.
I think it would be better if Thunar didn’t open when I insert my IPod. Instead GTKPod could handle IPods and other mp3 players by default instead of Thunar as most people won’t use Thunar for IPod management (as it can’t sync, read, etc.) only GTKPod.

to update the System apt-get update && apt-get install e16, everything went well, except that Internet work very Slow under E16.I use WLAN .
